Meet the Team
Dr. Dan Ellingson, DDS
Dr. Ellingson takes patient care very seriously. He cares for each patient as individuals with unique needs, and feels that all people deserve to be presented the option of and receive comprehensive dental care for superior oral health.
He received his BS degree in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry from the University of Nebraska at Omaha before receiving his dental degree in 2012 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry.
Dr. Ken Spanel, DDS
Dr. Kenneth Spanel was born and raised in Grand Island, Nebraska. He attended undergraduate college at the University of Lincoln, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Spanel then graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He has over 30 years of experience working with patients to provide the best dentistry. Dr. Spanel established his dental office in Omaha in 2000. He is a current member of the American Dental Association and enjoys keeping up with recent developments and ideas in dentistry.
Kim: Practice Manager
I oversee the daily operations of the dental office, implement policies & procedures, head the accounts receivable department, maintain records of necessary training/certifications, supervise staff, and ensure all patients receive a high quality of care. I love working at Regency Dental with a staff that truly cares about their patients. I find our staff to be professional and mature when working together. We are a team of wonderful people whom I am proud to represent! When away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my granddaughters (and family) and watching sports. I have 3 sons who have given me many granddaughters! I love every joyful minute with them. As for sports, I love them all! From Nascar, football, wrestling, basketball, and baseball—I enjoy watching any level of sport, especially live.
Erin: Patient Coordinator
I am a Patient Coordinator here at Regency Dental. One aspect of my job that I appreciate is the opportunity to welcome each patient and become more familiar with them during their visits. I value the positive atmosphere within our team, where we support one another like family. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and the experiences we share together.
Kayleigh: Patient Coordinator
I am one of the patient coordinators here at Regency Dental. I love being a part of each patient’s day. Getting to know them at each visit and putting a smile on their face is all that matters to me! When I’m not working, I love all things travel and adventure. I’m known by my friends and family for booking last-minute trips all around the world. My favorite pastimes include spending time outside, crocheting, and hanging out with my brother’s cats!
Amy: Dental Assistant
I am a Dental Assistant and have worked with Dr. Spanel for a handful of years. I love the bond I have established with our patients – many have become like family. One of the best things about my job is that our team works very well together and always looks out for one another. When I am not treating smiles, I enjoy reading, traveling, and being outdoors.
Laura: Dental Assistant
I have been assisting Dr. Ellingson for a handful of years and even assisted Dr. Spanel when I was first starting out. I love my job because I get to help people achieve their best smiles. I also enjoy working with our team of dedicated professionals. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and spending time outside during the warmer months.
Cozette: Dental Assistant
As a dedicated dental assistant since 2006, I take great pride in brightening my patients’ smiles at Regency Dental. My passion for dentistry is matched only by my commitment to my incredible team, where collaboration is key to our success. Outside of the office, I cherish time spent camping, fishing, and bowling with my husband, as well as creating lasting memories with my family whenever we can gather. Together, we celebrate the joys of life, one smile at a time.

I have been at Regency Dental since the early 2000’s. Throughout my time here I have had the privilege of building lasting relationships with my patients and watching families grow. I also love working with our amazing dental team! I believe we deliver exceptional patient care and are very supportive of each other. Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with family and friends.
Lexi: Dental Hygienist
I am extremely passionate about my position in the dental field. I love spending time with each individual patient and educating on all things teeth and gums! Knowing the overall health benefits of good oral hygiene is of the utmost importance, and I am so grateful I can play a role in that. When not taking care of patients, I enjoy spending time outside, reading, and cooking. I also spend a lot of time playing or watching sports!
